Welcome to the scholarships page for the Wisconsin BBA Program in the Wisconsin School of Business! As part of our scholarship application process, we will ask the applicant to submit one application to be considered for all scholarship awards. The applicant will not see individual applications per individual scholarship.  The one application will be used and shared with academic departments to determine scholarship recipients at both the Dean's and departmental level(s). We award a large amount of scholarships totaling over $500,000 annually.

The significant majority of Wisconsin BBA Scholarships are reserved for current, admitted students in the Wisconsin BBA Program. Students who are applying to the School of Business this spring are also eligible to apply (If the student is admitted to the School of Business, they will be considered for scholarships).

Incoming first-year students who are applying as a Direct Admit do not need to fill out a scholarship application. The application submitted for your consideration as a direct admit will also serve as your scholarship application and you will be considered for all School of Business Scholarships for which you are eligible.

If you are an admitted business student and have not declared your major through the BBA Advising Office (3150 Grainger Hall), you may not be considered for major specific, departmental scholarship dollars.  You must be declared within a specific major to receive consideration for those funds.

Application Information

The Application for Business Scholarships for Current BBA students will be open January 15-February 15.
The Application for Business Scholarships for pre-business students who will be applying this March will be open March 1-30. 

There are two different applications depending on if you are a current Business student or will be applying for admission to the School of Business this March.


Current Business students please fill out the "Application for Wisconsin School of Business Undergraduate Scholarships".

Students who have already applied or plan to apply to the School of Business this March please fill out "Application for Wisconsin School of Business Undergraduate Students - Pre-bus".

Scholarships Descriptions
This annual competition requires submission of an essay through Scholarships@UWMadison on a different topic each year related to the liberal arts. There is a $1,000 prize to the winning entry and $500 prize to a runner-up.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled undergraduates from any school or college who are currently enrolled and have a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average. Final selection of winning essays will be determined by University General Education Committee. Recipients will be notified in Spring 2018. Please contact scholarships@saa.ls.wisc.edu with questions.

Students are offered scholarships only if they are admitted to the School of Business.
