Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: 1. Wisconsin residency, as determined by UW. 2. Be a declared Economics major. 3. Have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. 4. Will be enrolled on a full-time basis for spring semester following application. Consideration shall be given to both financial need and academic merit.

This $2,000 scholarship in economics will be awarded to a declared major in Economics, including all Colleges, who is a resident of Wisconsin, not including reciprocity students. A GPA of 3.0 in all degree credits completed at the time of application as well as in completed requirements of the Economics major. Student must be continuing at the UW-Madison on a full-time basis for the Fall term following application. Financial need considered heavily in this award, and students verifying ongoing employment while attending the university. The scholarship may be renewed for a second year if merit and need are verified by a new application.

The Lorraine A. and W. Dwight Stone Scholarship is funded by the very generous donations of Lorraine A. and W. Dwight Stone. Scholarships will be awarded annually to students with residency in either MN or IA, and awards may be renewed for a second year.
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Declared Economics majors in the College of Letters and Science with official home residency in the states of Minnesota or Iowa. Students should have 4 full-time terms of study remaining at the time of initial application. The scholarship may be renewed for a second year with continued proof of academic merit. Requires a GPA of 3.0 in all UW-Madison work as well as a 3.0 GPA in all work required of the Economics major, including required calculus and statistics.

This scholarship is open to students with Wisconsin residency who have declared an Economics major or who have not yet been able to declare an Economics major, but who firmly intend to do so and who manifest this intention by having completed at least one of the two Intermediate Theory courses required to complete the Economics major. Must be a student enrolled in the College of Letters and Science. Must have a GPA of 3.5 in both degree credits and all completed requirements of an economics major. Must plan on continuing full-time for two full academic years beyond the semester of initial application. (Study Abroad terms can be considered among these four terms.)

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: 1. Be an undergraduate with at least 24 credits earned from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a declared major in Economics. 2. Have at least two full-time semesters of academic study remaining before graduation. 3. Have an overall GPA of at least 3.5 at the time of application as well as a GPA of 3.5 or higher in all economics coursework completed, including any calculus or statistics completed. Above criteria and discretion of the Department as to whether it is awarded as one,two, three, or four scholarships each year.

Declared Econ major, any College. Must be continuing on a full-time basis for the Fall term following application. Must have completed both the Intermediate Theory courses of the Economics major by the time of application and have a GPA of at least 3.5 in all completed coursework and a GPA of at least 3.7 in all completed coursework of the Economics major, including any calculus or statistics required of the chosen major's option. Must attest to financial need. High academic requirements, as well as financial need. Does not require FAFSA filing.
