How to apply

Before you begin: Scholarship applications are not open year-round! Please check this site or the Scholarships@UW-Madison Online Application to see if scholarship applications are open for your organization.

  1. Many, but not all, scholarships on this site use the Scholarships@UW-Madison Online Application. For more information, check each scholarship's detail page.
  2. Enter the Scholarships@UW-Madison Online Application and use the 'Match Me!' tab to see which open scholarships you match.
  3. Complete applications online. Some organizations allow you to complete a single application to apply for many scholarships at once. Be sure to submit your application prior to the deadline date!
  4. Use the 'My Profile' tab to track your achievements throughout your academic career. Profiles may be used for scholarship applications, or downloaded as a framework to build resumes and portfolios.

Notes for Applicants

Scholarships are awarded to recognize the outstanding academic work of current and future UW-Madison students. Eligibility criteria will vary, even within individual schools and colleges. While not the only factor, financial need is often considered in the selection process.

Pay particular attention to submission deadlines, as they vary by school and college. There is no single date when all scholarships are awarded. Recipients will be notified when final decisions have been made.
